Howard Silvermintz

Tier One Capital of Georgia, LLC Founder

Howard Silvermintz entered the financial services industry in 1987, working with John Hancock in St. Louis Missouri. Two years later, he formed his own independent insurance agency, InsurAtlanta, Inc. And 30 years later, he formed Tier One Capital of Georgia, LLC.

Although Howard has called Atlanta home for more than 20 years, his “Show Me State” roots run deep. He’s a lifelong fanatic of the St. Louis Cardinals and a proud graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia (where he earned two degrees: a BS in Agriculture and a BS in Business). Go Tigers!

Howard has been a member of NAIFA since 1989 and served on the board for nearly two years. He expanded his financial planning credentials, earning a ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) designation in 2004 and a CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designation in 2007. He’s currently working towards becoming a Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP).

Howard is an active member of the High Museum, The Atlanta History Center, the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and has attended his Synagogue “The Temple” for more than two decades. His two favorite vacations so far have been a World War Two history tour he took with his brother and an excursion to Ireland and Scotland with his wife where he got to see Jack Nicklaus’ final appearance at The Open. His recent trip to Hawaii scores high marks too. A big fan of music, Howard recently attended a Rolling Stones concert in D.C. (which he rated one of their best performances ever). And he saw Bob Seger in Greenville, SC on his final tour. In 2019, the Silvermintzes travelled to St. Louis for Howard’s 40th high school reunion, where he had an awesome time reconnecting and reminiscing with friends – some of whom he hadn’t seen since graduation. Howard and his wife Sharon, an Atlanta native, have been married since 1992. On a trip to Las Vegas, they renewed their vows with Elvis Presley officiating (of course). Howard and Sharon live in Midtown Atlanta with their French Bulldog, “Frenchie LaRoux.”

Are you ready to take the next step and speak with a financial professional?

For decades insurance has been a necessary evil – a piece of financial protection that wise individuals won’t live without. And while it’s always been considered part of “financial planning”, most of the planning relates to the individual becoming disabled or meeting an untimely death and making arrangements for the family’s financial security if the unthinkable occurs.

Now families, individuals and business owners can add insurance products to their active financial planning tool kits –to improve their lifestyles, to increase their own net worth, and to enjoy life and prosperity even while they plan for retirement.

Learn more about the Circle of Wealth and the positive impact insurance products can have right now — not only when the unthinkable happens.

Discover a new way to look at saving.
